Martin Dibben - Managing Director
The blind trade is in Martin's blood - he first started work at Tidmarsh & Sons in the school holidays, working his way through to be joint managing director but leaving to found SHY UK in 1997. He is proud to have built a business with a reputation for meeting customer needs - reliably.
Alan McGarry - Operations Manager
Alan has been with SHY since we started and has been involved in the making of virtually every blind we have ever produced, so there is not much about our products that Alan doesn't know. Alan's role is looking after the day to day running of the business.
James Cookland - Production Manager
James has worked both on the shop floor and sales. Now our production manager, we still draw on his expertise to assist our sales team.
John Hammick - Technical Sales and Support
John has also been with SHY since we started 1998, and has worked through all departments on the shop floor, but spending most time with cloth production. John has a gift with computers, design and most matters technical, so some years ago he moved onto technical and sales support, and is also on our design team and trained on CAD.
Andrew More - Business Development
With a degree in business management, and a background in customer service, Andy is concentrating on business development and sales, working closely with Alan McGarry.
Chris Mayes - Senior Factory Supervisor
Chris has worked in all departments on the shop floor. He is a gifted artist and photographer in his spare time and the competent, gentle, but unyielding strength that keeps the factory running at top efficiency.
Janet Dibben - Company Secretary
Janet joined the company in its first growth phase - from being secretary to the Master at one of the London Universities - and before that secretary to the company secretary of one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Now, Janet is the force of efficient energy that keeps us all organised.
