Cord, pull the cord to extend the blind, release the cord to retract the blind. Never let go of the cord as the blind will retract with excessive speed and the pull cord could burn your hands.
Hand Operation, grip the handle and move the blind to bottom. Handle will lock onto bottom channel. To raise, squeeze handle to release catch and move blind to top. Do not let go as blind could retract with excessive speed.
Attaching rod from Detachable Rod Gear Operation, offer the bell on the end of the rod up to the spigot hanging from the blind box. Push home and rotate the rod in any direction to engage.
Detaching rod from Detachable Rod Gear Operation, lift the rod and turn the opposite direction to that last used by a small fraction of one turn. The rod should now drop free.
Gear Operation (use), fold the free end into a crank shape and using this crank, turn in one direction. Observe direction the blind moves. If the desired movement is not achieved, reverse direction. Stop when the desired position is reached (handle can be folded straight again if desired. Do not over turn.

Ensure there is no strong air movement traveling through the opening about to be closed by the screen
(although not a problem when the screen is down, it may cause the screen to jam in operation).
Using switch provided:
Press the up button to raise the screen.
Press the down button to lower screen.
To stop the blind mid-way press the stop button.
Blind will stop on its own internal limit switches top and bottom. (Press button configuration may vary according to the type of switch used and the relays/control equipment provided).

Frequent operation may cause the motor to overheat, if this happens the motor will cut out until it has cooled. This will result in the screen stopping in mid operation and not responding to any switch commands. When the motor has cooled, operation will re-start automatically and the screen will continue its travel in the direction the switch has been left.
Every six months, clean the inside of the side channels with a bleach free cleaning solution (soapy water is fine). Do not use any solvent that may attack the plastic.
When dry apply a light coating of silicone lubricant spray.
Run the blind to check running is free.
